On behalf of our entire staff, it is my pleasure to welcome you to ActiveDirSec.com, a website dedicated to helping you easily, securely and efficiently delegate and manage administrative authority in Active Directory.

Active Directory is the foundation of IT and security management and the focal point of administrative delegation in a Windows Server based IT infrastructure. The security of Active Directory content is thus essential and paramount to organizational security.

Over the last decade, I've had the opportunity to help organizations worldwide securely delegate and manage administrative authority in Active Directory.

From 2001 to 2005, as Program Manager for Active Directory Security on Microsoft's Windows Server development team, I was responsible for –

• designing vital security features including fine grained password policies
• authoring Microsoft's official 400-page security best-practices whitepaper on delegating administration in Active Directory, online at www.microsoft.com/ad
• architecting Microsoft Active Directory delegation tools like dsrevoke
• presenting at industry conferences such as Microsoft TechEds and DECs
• performing a security risk assessment of Microsoft's global IT infrastructure
• evaluating (collectively) nominations for each year's Directory Services MVPs
• providing strategic security guidance to numerous Microsoft enterprise customers including the US DoD, Chevron Texaco, Siemens, UBS etc.
